The South Delhi Municipal Corporation today elected the chairman and deputy chairman for its respective four zonal ward committees, the SDMC said.
SDMC's four zonal wards are -- West Zone, Najafgarh Zone, South Zone and Central Zone.
While BJP won three of the chairman posts, the lone Central Zone ward committee chairman position went to Indu of Congress, who got 18 out of 30 votes polled.

For the ward committees chairman posts, the BJP winners are -- West Zone (Radhika Setia-17 votes), Najafgarh Zone (Pawan Rathi -11 votes), and South Zone (Shailendra Singh-15 votes). The total votes polled in the the above three ward committee chairman elections were 27, 19 and 25 respectively, the SDMC said in a statement today.
The winners for the deputy chairman post were -- West Zone (Anil Sabharwal of BJP), Najafgarh Zone (Poonam Bardwaj, Independent), South Zone (Anita Tyagi, RLD) and Central Zone (Phool Kali, NCP), it said.
Pankaj Singh and Praween Rajput of BJP were also elected as members of the Standing Committee of the SDMC.
