The SDMC House today passed a resolution "condemning" the AAP dispensation over non-release of its fund due from the Delhi government and directed its Commissioner to explore legal options in this regard.
All three municipal corporations have been asking for release of funds due to them from the Delhi government. Cash-strapped North Delhi Municipal Corporation on June 1 took the decision to move court to seek release of its funds.
"The House appealed to the Centre to release through the state government, funds due it to... Also, it resolved that the Commissioner should explore the legal avenues available to get the fund released from the Delhi government and directed him to prepare a proposal in this regard," a senior SDMC official said.

In its resolution, passed by the BJP-led House, it also condemned the Arvind Kejriwal government, accusing it of trying to "make the SDMC weak, unsuccessful and helpless".
Earlier, Leader of Opposition and Congress leader Farhad Suri moved a resolution asking for release of due funds including its global funds from Delhi government.
In the resolution, he also said the Centre had reduced last year the grant to the three corporations by Rs 700 crore and appealed to the government to make available the due amount.
