A day after the death of a filmmaker due to electrocution, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation today decided to issue notices to a jewellery establishment which was responsible for keeping a live wire of a split AC hanging that allegedly caused the fatal incident.
The incident happened on Sunday when live wires from an air conditioner outside a jewllery shop at A 22 Green Park in South Delhi conducted current to the gate of a building.
Anand Bhaskar Morle, a 32-year-old freelance filmmaker, came in contact with this current and the subsequent electric shock led to his death.

SDMC officials said health and trade inspectors of the area will be issued show cause notices asking them to explain why action should not be taken against them.
Both the inspectors will be asked to respond as the building where the incident happened housed both a restaurant and a jewellery store.
"The process at the zonal level has already started and as a standard procedure, the corporation will issue notices to the shopkeeper as well as area inspectors to see where negligence has occurred," said Mukesh Yadav, Director (Press and Information) at SDMC.
"Once the police completed its investigation and fixed responsibility, action will be taken against those found responsible. The notices are expected to issued in the next couple of days," he added.
