The BJP-led South Delhi Municipal Corporation has decided to set up a call centre, through which citizens could get information about the civic services offered and lodge complaints in that regard, a senior official today said.
Newly elected chairman of the SDMC's standing committee, Subhash Arya made this announcement in the meeting of the panel.
"In this call centre, all the information related to the corporation will be available for the citizens and they can also register their complaints and problems," a SDMC statement quoted Arya as saying.

Earlier speaking after being elected unanimously as the chairman, Arya said that party has "given me this crucial responsibility and I will do my work with dedication and honesty."
"My first objective will be to work for the 'Swach Bharat Mission' started by our Prime Minister. We will try to strengthen sanitation system in the areas under jurisdiction of SDMC," he said.
Arya also said that we will try to curb corruption and abolish inspector raj in the corporation for its better functioning.
