The 51-year-old actor dropped the F-bomb several times in his speech in a room filled with actors Ben Stiller, Diane Kruger, director Paul Haggis, supermodel Petra Nemcova and MPAA chairman and CEO Chris Dodd, the Hollywood Reporter said.

Penn encouraged partygoers to shift their focus to a more immediate cause like rebuilding Haiti as the country is still devastated by the 2010 earthquake.

He also encouraged the audience to open both their hearts and wallets for the Haitian relief.

The "Milk" star and former Cannes head juror demanded high bids for the evening's auction, including the female attendees to use their powers of persuasion.

He later confessed that the comments were made under the influence of vodka.
