Searches underway at ex-Maha minister Bhujbal's properties

The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Maharashtra police today conducted searches at various properties of the NCP leader and former state PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal and his family members in Nashik and Mumbai.

The properties, where the searches are underway, include- 'Bhujbal Farm' and houses, his offices in Nashik, Manmad and his assembly constituency Yewla.

Searches were also going on at the properties belonging to his son, NCP MLA Pankaj Bhujbal, said A J More, deputy superintendent of police, Nashik ACB.

The searches began at 9.30 in the morning simultaneously, he told PTI.

Earlier this month, the ACB registered two FIRs against Bhujbal. One of them relates to alleged corruption in the construction of Maharashtra Sadan in New Delhi.

In Mumbai, the ACB sources said, searches were underway, among other places, at the office of Mumbai Education Trust in Bandra which is controlled by Bhujbal family.
