The temperature oscillated between a maximum of 42.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 33.3 degrees Celsius, both five notches above normal.

Amritsar braved a high of 42.8 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal, while the maximum temperature at Patiala touched 42 degrees Celsius.
Ludhiana simmered at a high of 41.9 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal, followed by Ambala at 41.3 deg C, Chandigarh 40.7 deg C and Karnal 40.6 deg C.
