Private carrier Jet Airways today offered a scheme to its domestic and international fliers under which a passenger can pre-book a seat of his choice by paying an additional amount of up to Rs 800 over and above the ticket price.
The "Seat Select" scheme is applicable for window, aisle and middle seats from row 11 to 15 and for exit row 24 of the economy cabin, Jet Airways said in a release.
The business class passengers, however, can avail the facility at no extra cost, it said.

'Seat Select' for exit row 24 will be available for travel from October 12, it said.
"The Seat Select option provides Jet Airways guests another means to plan their travel as per their choice with greater ease and convenience. We are confident that this latest initiative from Jet Airways will prove to be extremely popular with our guests," Jet Airways senior vice president for commercial Gaurang Shetty said.
Jet Airways is the second domestic airline after budget carrier IndiGo to offer such an option to its flyers and is part of the unbundling of the services, allowed by the aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation in April.
This option is available only on flights operated by Jet Airways' narrow-body Boeing 737 aircraft, the airline said.
Passengers traveling in economy class can reserve their seats for a nominal charge of Rs 500 on domestic sectors and Rs 800 on international sectors excluding taxes, the release said.
This facility is complimentary for JetPrivilege Platinum and Gold members, it said, adding all guests travelling in business can pre-reserve their seats at no cost.
After the unbundling of services, airlines have been allowed to charge fees check-in baggage, preferential seats, meals, snacks or drink (barring drinking water) and sports and musical instruments.
