The four students killed in a school bus crash in Seattle were from China, Austria, Indonesia and Japan, authorities in the US said today.
A 49-year-old Austrian woman, Claudia Derschmidt, had just arrived at North Seattle College along with her 15-year-old son to pursue her studies, college president Warren Brown told reporters.
The other victims were identified as 18-year-old Privaudo Putradauto of Indonesia, Mami Sato, 37, from Japan, and a 17-year-old Chinese student whose name was not released because she is a minor.
"This tragedy has faces and has stories and these are students that we will miss here at North Seattle College," Brown said.
