Hyderabad-based Seaways Shipping and Logistics has tied up with US-based McQuilling Partners, which is the third largest ship broking firm, to provide tanker, dry bulk, chemical and offshore brokerage services.
Announcing the launch of Seaways-McQuilling India here today, McQuilling Partners Chief Executive John Schmidt in a statement said the venture is consistent with his company's long-term expansion plan in strategic markets like India which has a vast potential in shipbroking, research and consultancy.
Seaways Group Chairman Captain PVK Mohan said, "The synergy between Seaways and McQuilling has created a world class platform for domestic charterers, marine interests and shipping experts. We will provide well researched services to our clients and open international contacts".
Seaways, which operates from 15 locations in India does not own any ships, but has 15,000 containers.
