Two officials of India's capital market watchdog Sebi have been elected as chairpersons of two committees set up by IOSCO, the global body of securities regulators.
Parmod Kumar Nagpal and Amarjeet Singh are the two officials of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) who have been elected as chairpersons of IOSCO panels.
Nagpal would chair the Committee on Issuer Accounting, Audit and Disclosure while Singh would be the chairperson of the Assessment Committee (AC), according to a release issued by IOSCO (International Organisation of Securities Commissions) on Monday.

IOSCO Board Chair Ashley Alder said the body has a number of critical work streams already underway.
"... As we turn our attention to key issues for the next two years, we are relying heavily on the new leadership teams of our committees to help the Board navigate these complex matters to have the highest impact possible," Alder said.
Members of IOSCO, the leading international policy forum for securities regulators, regulates over 95 per cent of the world's securities markets in more than 115 jurisdictions.
