Second round of IRC championship from July 30

The all-wheel driven Mitsubishi Evo of Samir Thapar and Evo VIII of Lohit Urs will be the major attraction in the three-day city leg of FMSCI Indian Rally Championship to be held here from July 30.

The event, the second round of the 2015 IRC Calendar, would be the first of the gravel/dirt events in the 2015 rallying season, organisers Coimbatore Auto Sports Club said today.

A total of 38 entries, including Mahindra Adventures, Delhi's Gaurav Gill and Mangalore-based co-driver, Musa Sharif, had been received for the two-stage 321.94 km long rally, club Secretary J Prithviraj told reporters here.

Also seen in action will be the Mangalore-Bangalore combo of Arjun Rao Aroor Satish Rajagopal in the volkswagen PoloR2 and the Mahindra Adventure entries of Amitrajit Ghosh-Ashwin Naik and Sanni Siddhu-PVS Murthy, he said.
