The Secret Warriors will be officially storming their way into "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" season 3.

Marvel announced that the fall run of its SHIELD series will be an adaptation of the 'Secret Warriors' storyline that ran in its comics from the spring of 2009 to the summer of 2011, reported Digital Spy.

In the comics, Nick Fury assembled a rag-tag group of super-powered beings from around the world to repel alien species the Skrulls and a revived HYDRA.

New SHIELD boss Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) will take control of the team in this television version, with the help of his super-powered deputy Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel will promote the storyline at Comic-Con International next week, by having 'SHIELD ambassadors' handing out specially-commissioned Secret Warriors pins.

The 'Secret Warriors' storyline follows on the heels of the second season's introduction of the Inhuman species and revelations of its connections to Skye.
