National Conference (NC) leader Devender Singh Rana today hit out at some local Congress leaders, alleging that they are hobnobbing" with the BJP to "disintegrate and trifurcate Jammu and Kashmir.
While paying tributes to Dalit icon B R Ambedkar on his 127th birth anniversary at party headquarters here, Rana said, "those working behind veils are more dangerous than perpetrators of a specific agenda and the Congress leaders stand now fully exposed for pushing the state towards communal frenzy."
A section of the Congress leaders have been working as B-team of the BJP and furthering its agenda of division, hate and polarization, Rana, the NC provincial president, Jammu, said.
On the rape and murder of an eight-year-old Muslim girl in Kathua district, Rana said the people of Jammu, irrespective of cast, creed or religion remained steadfast in their demand for justice to the victim.
Those standing for rapists could be chauvinists or opportunists, but not Hindus, he said.
