West Bengal Assembly Speaker Biman Banerjee today alleged that a section of journalists were exaggerating sub-judice matters in print media or tv channels.
"Some journalists write on such sub-judice cases in such a way and discuss in some tv channels in such a manner that they are bound to have some impact on the cases and even might influence the judges," Banerjee said while addressing the West Bengal College and University Professors Association.
"This should not be done in the interest of proceedings of those cases," he said and expressed hope that the journalists would not allow such things to take place which might affect the proceedings of the ongoing court cases.
