Security forces bust hideout in Kashmir, recover arms

Security forces today busted a militant hideout and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Kupwara district of north Kashmir, police said.

Acting on a tip off, security forces launched a search operation at Marhama forest in Awoora area of Trehgam, 120 km from here, a police officer said.

He said the search party busted a hideout during the operation which led to the recovery of two AK assault rifles, 10 magazines, 248 rounds, a 7.6 mm Multi Machine Gun with two magazines, two pistols, 10 rounds, six Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) grenades and five hand grenades.
 

However, no one was arrested during the operation, he said.
