Security forces recover 4 mortar shells in Samba

Security forces recovered four mortar shells in the border belt of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir and safely defused them, police said today.

On the basis of information received from locals, security forces recovered the four shells from Devika river beds at Rangoos camp, in Ramgarh border belt sector of Samba district last evening, a police officer said.

The shells, though alive, were in a rusted form, he said, adding that they were safely defused.
