A case has been registered against unidentified persons in this connection, he added.

In another incident, some people damaged the idol of Sant Ravidas at a temple in Lilon village of the district yesterday.

Trouble arose when devotees found the broken idol and protested against the incident, police said, adding that three men -- Manoj Sharma, Anuj and Sumit Kumar -- have been taken into custody in this regard.
