Sixth seed Sai Samhita Chamarthi and eighth seed Alexandra Walters moved into the second round of the main draw singles at the USD 15000 Endurance Aurangabad Open Womens ITF Championships today.
In the first round, former national champion Sai Samhita outplayed Saumya Vig 6-2 6-1, while Alexandra of Australia thrashed qualifier Aastha Dargude of India 6-0 6-1 in just under an hour.
In a well-contested first round match Vasavi Ganeshan got through a tough first set before getting past wild card Jennifer Luikham 7-6(6) 6- 1 and Shweta Rana also made it to round two by getting past Prakriti Banwani 6-4 6-3.

In the doubles, Rutuja Bhosale and Kanika Vaidya upset second seeds Nidhi Chilumula and Shweta Chandra Rana 3-6 6-3 11-9 to move into the quarterfinals.
