Seeking to put them in the same cell, three prisoners today climbed atop a tree on the campus of the Central Jail here, creating flutter for some time.
Jail sources said, Karthik and Manoj Kumar of Coimbatore and Nagaraj of Thanjavur, involved in some dacoity cases, were put in the same cell. However, due to their misbehaviour, they were separated and put in different cells since yesterday.
When all the prisoners were brought out for breakfast today, the three climbed atop a tree and seeking the authorities to put them in the same cell.
The prison officials managed to convince and brought them down, the sources said.
