Meanwhile, aluminium utensils and lead prices edged-up on better offtake from consumers industries.
The industrial metals fell to an eight-month low at the London Metal Exchange (LME) as concerns about economic growth cast doubts over the global industrial metals demand outlook and pushed speculators to open more short positions ahead of a two-day holiday in China.

Copper utensils scrap fell by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 436 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 438.
Copper armiture, copper sheet cutting, aluminium ingots and zinc all softened by a rupee per kg each to Rs 459, Rs 455, Rs 138 and Rs 140, respectively.
However, aluminium utensils scrap climbed by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 114 from Rs 112 and lead inched-up by a rupee per kg to Rs 135.
