Select base metals decline on reduced industrial demand

Nickel, tin, copper and brass prices declined at the non-ferrous metals market here today due to stockists selling amidst reduced demand from industrial users.

On global front, industrial metal copper slipped at the LME in early trade for a second consecutive session, as doubts persisted over the strength of China demand amid a slow and steady increase in supply.

Tin and nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,195 and Rs 830 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,200 and Rs 835.

Copper armiture, copper utensils scrap, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting dropped by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 395, Rs 378, Rs 393, Rs 298 and Rs 306 from Rs 398, Rs 381, Rs 396, Rs 301 and Rs 309, respectively.
 

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 410, Rs 404 and Rs 438 as compared to Rs 412, Rs 406 and Rs 440.
