Select base metals drop on poor offtake

Select base metals including copper, brass and nickel dropped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amid poor offtake from industrial users.

While, aluminium and tin gained owing to good demand from consuming industries.

Nickel slipped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 830 from Wednesday's close Rs 840.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper billets, copper sheet cuttings, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cuttings softened by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 446, Rs 437, Rs 425, Rs 474, Rs 421, Rs 328 and Rs 340 as against Rs 448, Rs 439, Rs 427, Rs 476, Rs 423, Rs 330 and Rs 342, respectively.
 

However, tin regained by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,360 as compared Rs 1,350 yesterday and aluminium ingots 3 per kg to Rs 160 from Rs 157 yesterday.

Aluminium utensils inched up per kg to Rs 126.
