Select base metals including copper, brass and zinc edged up in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist buying amid mild demand from industrial users.

However, copper sheet cutting eased owing to lower offtake from consumer industries.

On global front, industrial metal copper held its ground in early trade in the face of slowing factory activity in the world's top copper user, cushioned by a softer dollar, while nickel resumed its slide on supply concerns.

Copper cable scrap, Copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensils scrap and zinc prices inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 410, Rs 376, Rs 438, Rs 299 and Rs 160 from yesterday's closing level.

However, copper sheet cutting moved down by a Rs 2 per kg to Rs 394 from Monday's closing level of Rs 396.
