Select base metals end lower

Select base metals ended lower at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' selling amid reduced demand from industrial users.

However, brass and zinc edged up on better offtake from consumer industries.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 394 and Rs 422 from Saturday's closing level of Rs 396 and Rs 424, respectively.

Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and copper sheet cutting softened by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 388, Rs 370 and Rs 367, respectively.

However, brass sheet cutting rose by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 305 as against Rs 303 previously.
 

Brass utensils scrap and zinc inched-up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 290 and Rs 219.
