Select base metals fall on reduced industrial demand

Select base metal prices fell by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to reduced industrial demand amid a weak global trend.

Traders said besides reduced industrial demand, reports of a weak global trend mainly kept pressure on select base metal prices.

In the national capital, zinc ingot and copper mixed scrap were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 117-123 and Rs 406 per kg respectively.

Nickel plate (4x4) also eased by a similar margin to Rs 1,010-1,015 per kg.

Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 117-123, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 1,010-1,015, Gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, Copper mixed scrap Rs 406, Chadri deshi Rs 285.
 

Lead ingot Rs 111, Lead imported Rs 112, Aluminium ingots Rs 158, Aluminium sheet cutting Rs 159, Aluminium wire scrap Rs 161 and Aluminium utensils scrap Rs 158.
