Select base metals firm-up on consistent demand

Select base metals firmed up at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid consistent demand from industrial users.

Tin rose by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,160 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,150.

Zinc and copper sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 142 and Rs 365 as compared to Rs 140 and Rs 363 previously.

Copper scrap heavy, copper utensils, aluminium ingots inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 374, Rs 348, Rs 131 respectively.

However, brass utensils scrap softened by a Re per kg to Rs 272.
