Select copper, brass and lead prices gained marginally in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on mild bouts of buying on the back of higher London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.

The industrial metals were trading slightly up at the LME, after US jobs and inflation figures showed increasing signs of a recovery in the global economy.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture, copper wire bar, brass sheet cutting and lead inched-up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 494, Rs 485, Rs 475, Rs 522, Rs 338 and Rs 138, respectively.

However, copper utensils scrap softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 450 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 451.
