Select base metals gain in thin trade

The industrial metals was trading lower at the LME as traders cautiously waiting to see if monetary policy meetings in the US and Europe would yield fresh easing measures.

Nickel and Tin surged by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,075 and Rs 1,260 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,070 and Rs 1,265.

Copper sheet cutting edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 464 as against Rs 462 previously.

Brass utensils scrap, brass sheet cutting and zinc all inched up Re 1 per kg each to Rs 317, Rs 325 and Rs 135, respectively.
