Meanwhile, aluminium utensils scrap softened on reduced offtake from consumer industries.

Industrial metals maintained an uptrend at the LME on lower dollar and hopes of economic stimulus in China and positive Greek opinion polls, though cautiousness prevailed over Spain's banking crisis amidst eurozone debt situation.

Brass sheet cutting moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 330 from Monday's closing level of Rs 327.

Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 490, Rs 518 and Rs 320 from Rs 488, Rs 516 and Rs 318 previously.

 

Copper armiture, Copper utensils scrap, copper sheet cutting and zinc all looked up by a rupee per kg each to Rs 473, Rs 446, Rs 466 and Rs 133 respectively.

However, aluminium utensils scrap inched down by a rupee per kg to Rs 113.
