Select base metals gain on industrial demand

Elsewhere, select brass and aluminium also moved up better offtake from consumer industries.

The Industrial metals traded almost flat amid cautiousness on continued concerns over US fiscal cliff, though growth momentum in China helped to consolidate.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar rose by Rs 4 to Rs 492 and Rs 520 from last Saturday's close of Rs 488 and Rs 516.

Copper scrap heavy, copper sheet cutting and aluminium utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 482, Rs 465 and Rs 118 as against Rs 480, Rs 463 and Rs 116 previously.

Copper utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting also inched up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 446 and Rs 331, respectively.

 

However, copper armature softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 469 from Rs 470.
