Select base metals gains on industrial demand, global cues

Select copper, brass, aluminium and zinc also gained on good offtake from consumer industries.

Industrial metals maintained a rising trend at the LME, supported by Chinese decision to stimulate the economy, though continued uncertainty in eurozone cautioned the investors.

Nickel spurted by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,100 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,090 an copper utensils scrap rose by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 446 from Rs 442.

Copper armiture, brass utenils scrap, brass sheet cutting, aluminium ingots, aluminium utensils scrap and zinc edged up by a rupee per kg each to 469, Rs 314, Rs 324, Rs 136, Rs 113 and Rs 130 respectively.
