Select base metals rebound on global cues

The Industrial metals were trading higher at the LME on signs of economic recovery in Europe as well as reports of accelerating growth outlook from China.

Nickel and tin spurted by Rs 5 per kg each to Rs 1,100 and Rs 1,460 from overnight close of Rs 1,095 and Rs 1,455.

Aluminium utensils scrap climbed by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 116 from Rs 112 previously.

Copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 468, Rs 325 and Rs 334 as against Rs 466, Rs 323 and Rs 332, respectively.

 

Copper armature also inched up by a rupee per kg to Rs 473. However, zinc softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 146 from Rs 147.
