Select base metals recovers on fresh demand

Tin and copper prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid fresh demand from industrial users.

However, nickel prices declined further owing to subdued offtake from alloy industries.

Tin climbed by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,110 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 1,100.

Copper cables scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar climbed to Rs 2 per kg to Rs 369, Rs 364 and Rs 397 from Rs 367, Rs 362 and Rs 395.

Copper armiture, copper utensil scrap and copper sheet cutting edged-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 358, Rs 341 and Rs 356, respectively.
 

However, nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 695 as against Rs 700.
