Select base metal prices eased upto Rs 4 per kg at the local non-ferrous metal market today largely on weak global trend.
Traders said sentiments turned bearish as base metals dropped in global markets after home prices weakened in the biggest user China and as the dollar climbed after the Federal Reserve raised interest-rate estimates.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months retreated to USD 6,872.25 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
