Select base metals slide on muted demand

Select base metals prices declined by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on sluggish demand from consuming industries.

Traders said said subdued demand from consuming industries mainly led to decline in select base metal prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) were down by Rs 2 each to Rs 368 and Rs 850-855 per kg, respectively. Zinc ingot also eased by a similar margin toRs 90-96 per kg.

Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 90-96, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 850-855, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 368, chadri deshi Rs 295.
 

Lead ingot Rs 78, lead imported Rs 84, aluminium ingots Rs 150, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 146, aluminium wire scrap Rs 146 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 144.
