Select base metals slides on global cues

The industrial metal hit a four month low at the LME on political uncertainty of Greece exiting eurozone amidst cautiousness over Chinese growth slowdown.

Tin dropped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,330 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 1,340 and nickel dipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,085 from Rs 1,090.

Copper utensils scrap slipped by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 439 from previous close of Rs 443 and brass sheet cutting moved down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 325 from Rs 328 last weekend.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and copper wire bar all edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 480, Rs 473, Rs 463 and Rs 508, respectively.

 

Copper sheet cutting also softened by a rupee per kg to Rs 458.
