Most of the base metals, including select copper, brass, zinc and nickel, prices slipped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist selling amidst subdued demand from industrial users on the back of lower global cues.
Meanwhile, copper scrap heavy, aluminium ingots and tin gained owing to good offtake from consumer industries.
The industrial metals fell in early trade on jitters about improving supply from Indonesia, although encouraging manufacturing reports from China and the United States kept a floor under prices.

Brass sheet cutting slid by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 353 as against Rs 357 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and copper sheet cutting all moved down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 491, Rs 519 and Rs 466 as compared to Rs 494, Rs 522 and 469 yesterday.
Brass utensils scrap eased by Rs 2 Rs 337 from Rs 339, while Zinc also softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 173.
However, Aluminium ingots and tin edged up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 155 and Rs 1,605 from overnight level of Rs 153 and Rs 1,603.
Copper scrap heavy inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 485.
