Select copper, brass and aluminium prices edged down in an otherwise listless non-ferrous metal market here today on stockist selling amid reduced demand from industrial users.
On the global front, the industrial metal slipped at the LME in early trade from two-week peaks hit the session before after comments by the Federal Reserve fuelled worries over global growth, disturbing a fragile calm after robust Chinese economic data.
Copper sheet cutting and aluminium ingots moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 451 and 166 from Monday's closing level of Rs 453 and Rs 168.
Copper scrap heavy, copper armature, copper utensils scrap, brass utensils scrap and brass sheet cutting all eased by Re 1 per kg to Rs 475, Rs 456, Rs 432, Rs 326 and Rs 339, respectively.
However, aluminium utensils scrap and Zinc inched-up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 135 and Rs 187.
