Tracking a firm trend overseas and pick up in demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market, select base metal prices rose by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today.

Sentiments turned better as buying activity picked up after copper rallied with other industrial metals in global markets, after US jobs data burnished sentiment toward the world's biggest economy, traders said.
