Select base metals weaken on lower demand

Select base metals including copper, brass sheet cuttings, zinc and lead weakened at the non-ferrous metal market here today following stockists selling amid lower demand from industrial users.

Copper sheet cuttings fell by Rs 12 per kg to Rs 380 from Tuesday's close Rs 392 and copper armature slipped by Rs 11 to Rs 385 as against Rs 396.

Copper scrap heavy declined by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 399 as compared Rs 407 yesterday.

Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar moved down by Rs 7 per kg each to Rs 408 and Rs 436 as against Rs 415 and Rs 443 yesterday.
 

Copper utensils, zinc and lead edged down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 365, Rs 245 and Rs 155 as aginast Rs 370, Rs 250 and Rs 160 respectively.

Brass sheet cuttings softened by Rs 4 per kg to Rs 323 from Rs 327 yesterday.
