Select centres freight rates up on tight trucks position

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section to Thiruvananthapuram, Vijaywada and Hyderabad rose by Rs 1000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today on increased cargo movements amid tight position of trucks.

Transporters said shortage of trucks in the market coupled with fresh cargo movements pushed up some of centres freight rates.

Delhi to Hyderabad and Vijayawada freight rates went up by Rs 1000 each to Rs 59,000 and Rs 61,000.

Rates to Thiruvananthapuram also moved up by Rs 1000 to Rs 87,000.

Elsewhere, rest other centres freight rates from capital enquired around overnight levels on some support.
