Select copra advances on sustained demand

Copra office Alapuzzha and copra office Kozhikode prices advanced further at the spices market here today following sustained demand from stockists amid good offtake from exporters.

While, black pepper prices recovered owing to renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

Copra office Alappuzha and copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 10,200 and Rs 10,000 from Monday's closing level of Rs 10,000 and Rs 9,800 respectively.

Elsewhere, black pepper moved up by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 490/590 as compared to Rs 490/580 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 490/590 (490/580), ginger unbleached (per kg) 120 (120), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 10,200 (10,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,000 (9,800), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,300 (11,300), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 11,600 (11,600).
