Select copra declines on subdued offtake, black pepper gains

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode prices declined at the spices market here today due to subdued offtake from stockist and retailers.

While, black pepper gained on good retail demand.

Ginger, copra rajapur and copra edible maintained a stable trend in the absence of market moving factors.

Copra office Alapuzha and Copra office Kozhikode fell by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,900 and Rs 6,800 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 7,000 and Rs 6,900, respectively.

However, black pepper climbed by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 445/475 as against Rs 435/465 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 445/475 (435/465), ginger bleached (per kg) 175 (175), ginger unbleached (per kg) 185 (185), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,900 (7,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,800 (6,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 8,500 (8,500) Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,000 (8,100).
