Select copra drops on poor offtake

Copra office Alapuzha, copra office Kozhikode, copra rajapur mumbai and copra edible mumbai dropped further at the spices market here today following poor offtake from stockists and retailers.

Rest all other spices ruled steady in the absence of necessary buying activity.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode slipped by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 6,500 and Rs 6,400 from Tuesday's close Rs 6,700 and Rs 6,600 respectively.

Copra rajapur Mumbai and copra edible mumbai also declined by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 9,500 and Rs 8,300 as compared Rs 9,700 and Rs 8,500 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 670/750 (670/750), ginger bleached (per kg) 140 (140), ginger unbleached (per kg) 160 (160), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,500 (6,700), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,400 (6,600), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,500 (9,700), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 8,300 (8,500).
