Select copra ends mixed amid good export demand

Copra edible Mumbai and copra office Kozhikode gained at the spices market here today following sustained demand from stockists and retailers amid good export demand.

Copra office Alappuzha slipped following subdued demand from stockists.

Rest all other spices ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

Copra office Kozhikode and copra edible Mumbai moved up by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 10,400 and Rs 11,800 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 10,300 and Rs 11,700.

However, copra office Alappuzha eased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 10,500 as against Rs 10,600 previously.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
 

Black pepper (per kg) 490/580 (490/580), ginger unbleached (per kg) 123 (123), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 10,500 (10,600), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,400 (10,300), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,700 (11,700), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 11,800 (10,700).
