Select copra falls on subdued demand, good supply

Copra Alapuzha, Copra Kozhikode and Copra edible Mumbai fell at the spices market here today on subdued demand from stockists and retailers amid lower offtake from exporters.

Rest all other spices held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

Copra office Alapuzha and Copra office Kozhikode dropped by Rs 300 per quintal each to Rs 11,000 and Rs 10,900 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 11,300 and Rs 11,200.

Copra edible Mumbai also declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 13,500 from Rs 13,600 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 710/760 (710/760), ginger bleached (per kg) 260 (260), ginger unbleached (per kg) 280 (280), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 11,000 (11,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,900 (11,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 22,000 (22,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,500 (13,600).
