Select copra firms up on rising demand

Copra office Kozhikode and copra office Alappuza firmed up at the spices market here today on rising demand from stockists and retailers amid good export offtake.

While, copra edible mumbai dropped owing to poor offtake from stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, other spices held stable in absence of any large-scale buying activity.

Copra office Kozhikode and copra office alappuza surged by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 6,700 and Rs 6,500 from Wednesday's close Rs 6,500 and Rs 6,400, respectively.

However, copra edible mumbai dipped by Rs 100 per quintal at Rs 7,800 as against Rs 7,900 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 725/800 (725/800), ginger bleached (per kg) 140 (140), ginger unbleached (per kg) 160 (160), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,700 (6,500), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,600 (6,400), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,000 (10,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,800 (7,900).
