Select copra firms up on rising demand, black pepper gains

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode prices firmed up at the Spices market here today on increased stockist demand in view of coming festivities amidst paucity of stocks.

Elsewhere, black pepper and copra edible gained on good retail offtake.

Ginger and copra Rajapur maintained a stable trend in the absence of market-moving factors.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 5,500 and Rs 5,400 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 5,400 and Rs 5,300.

Copra edible Mumbai also shot-up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,200 as against Rs 6,100 previously.
 

Black pepper moved up by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 435/465 from Rs 425/455.
