Select copra gains on rising demand amid tight supply

Copra office Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices firmed up further at the spices market here today on consistent demand from stockist and retailers amidst sustained millers offtake.

Meanwhile, black pepper, ginger, copra Rajapur and copra edible prices ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying.

Copra office Kozhikode climbed by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 10,500 from Wednesday's level of Rs 10,300.

Copra office Alapuzha also moved up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 10,600 as against Rs 10,500 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 675/710 (675/710), ginger bleached (per kg) 300 (300), ginger unbleached (per kg) 315 (315), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 10,600 (10,500), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,500 (10,300), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 14,000 (14,000), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 11,500 (11,500).
